Soweto
South Western Township (Soweto), is SA's most famous township, former home to Nelson Mandela and stage of many historic events in the liberation struggle. Self-drive or guided tours are on offer.
Newtown Cultural Precinct
Cross over the newly constructed Nelson Mandela Bridge into downtown Joburg to arrive at the precinct. Theatres, eateries, markets and museums abound in this historic part of the city.
Lipizzaners
